These machines ran at Long Beach from 1978-82 and 1989-2008, with drivers such as Bobby Rahal, Michael Andretti, Willy T. Ribbs, Danny Sullivan, Al Unser Jr., Jimmy Vasser and Jacques Villeneuve behind the wheel! Cars driven by these racers and Formula One World Champion Keke Rosberg are expected to be in the field! 2020 Barber Historics

The Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) and the Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) team up to present the 2020 Barber Historics at the famous facility, May 15-17.  It’s the only time of year that vintage cars will be allowed on the 17-turn, 2.38-mile road course.  Because of it’s lush and meticulous landscaping at the 880-acre facility, Barber is often referred to as “The Augusta of Motorsports” which adds to the excitement of the event. The first event was held on August 3, 1964, on the short 12-turn, 1.5-mile circuit (north loop). Canadian Ludwig Heimrath drove his Cooper-Ford 289 to victory in the 32-lap feature race. The annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a celebration of motorsport history that brings approximately 550 race cars together in one open paddock for everyone to enjoy.
