Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge Wine Country Classic This event has expanded to five days this season (May 29-June 2) and will include Hot Rod Drag Racing on the reconstructed quarter-mile drag strip, as well as a Classic Car Rally through the picturesque roads of Sonoma County. Fans will also be treated to some of the most classic cars in the world competing on the road course, including Jaguar, Porsche, Corvette, Ferrari, Bugatti and Alfa Romeo. With Sears Point Raceway's open pits policy, fans will have the opportunity to literally stick their heads under the hoods of these classics, as well as chat with the owners. Moreover, a Food and Wine Pavilion will be situated behind Turn 11 and feature the finest wines from the Sonoma Valley, as well as gourmet dishes from area restaurants. The annual Sonoma Valley Vintage Race Car Festival will also take place as 30 race cars wind their way from Sears Point to the Sonoma Plaza on Saturday night of race weekend. A sampling of fine wines and gourmet foods will be available at the Plaza.

20th Vintage Festival Lime Rock Park This Labor Day weekend, that inseparable connection between the tradition of sports car racing and the men and machines that made it happen will be celebrated at the 20th anniversary of the Lime Rock Park Vintage Festival on Aug. 30-Sept. 2. This special edition of the Vintage Festival also will mark the beginning of a partnership with Steve Earle, the president of General Racing Ltd. and founder of the world renowned Monterey Historic Automobile Races. "I am delighted to become a part of the Vintage Festival," Earle said. "The event has a long history built on the efforts of many individuals and organizations, not the least of which is the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA). They were the pioneers of the sport in this country and had a major influence on the importance of preserving racing cars.
